A word from our Founder

Growing up in a large extended family, I learned early on that hard work and helping others weren’t just nice things to do—they were essential. Whether it was setting up for family events, cleaning up houses and yards, or taking care of one another, we all had a role to play. As I navigated my own challenges, I realized that every act of kindness, no matter how small, could ripple out to change lives—including my own. I discovered that for me true strength comes from connection and compassion.

This realization inspired me to create No Idol Hands, a place where support, hope, and opportunity come together. I wanted to offer kids a way to break down barriers and introduce them to an inexpensive lifelong activity. By teaching them disc golf and providing each child with their very first set of three discs—a putter, a mid-range, and a driver—we ensure that when they visit a park with baskets, they have everything they need to play.

No Idol Hand’s vision for the future is twofold. First to work with other businesses, charities and nonprofits in our communities to establish camps for kids, creating a safe space where they can learn, grow, and develop a love for disc golf and develop or foster a sense of self-worth. From there, we will build progressively harder leagues, giving kids a structured path to continue improving while fostering teamwork, confidence, and perseverance.

Second, once this foundation is established, No Idol Hands will expand our outreach to help Veterans, their families, and others living with PTSD or PTSA by using disc golf as a therapeutic and social outlet. No Idol Hands will also work with older adults, helping them stay active and engaged through the game.

In doing these things No Idol Hands can help create and nurture a community environment that supports people of all ages and abilities through the idea that something as simple as throwing a disc can change lives.
